When I first saw the guy on skates hanging onto the back of a Hayabusa, I was amazed, also secretely thinking of asking around friends who had fast bikes to see if I could get my skates on and catch a ride. I have zero friends with Hayabusas and even less with top fuel dragsters. This guy is nuts. I would not do this, obviously this is me thinking about the environment.

After returning from my journey to the sub continent I gained employment on the TCR. This one of the street mongering places of the chugger. It did come as some surprise. Yes, there are the usual sellers of fruit, god, taxi drivers, etc, just like you would find in Central and South America.

Yes off course politeness should be used, but stresses and strains of life can get the better of a man. I needed some advise on how to deal with these people. After searching the internet buscadores for some advice on how to deal with the chugger. I know a picture paints a thousand words, well if that is the case then the moving picture paints a thousand, I found these words, ok no words just actions, from Keith Hackney dealing with a chugger working for an undisclosed third party (as usual, I've spoken to a few and they always try to give the impression that they work for the charity), on behalf off Charity for Real-estate Acquisition of Propertiy Presenters (CRAPP). The credit crunch has had a huge impact on the presenters of the plethara of "buy a house to make a quick pound" programmes. Sorry, but I don't like Americanisums and didn't want to say quick buck. As a result there has been several of these well paid free riders are now on skid row and charity chugger Joe Son was doing his best to raise funds to keep these unfortunate few in the life style they have become acquainted with.

After seeing this, the message I want to get across is to give to charity, direct. Why, give money you want to give to a good cause to some middle man, and flood the streets with these chuggers putting their 8&115 in the line of fire from White Tiger Kempo masters and making the streets of London town a pain to walk to work for the rest of us.

Guess we will just get a charity chuggers for unemployed chuggers then!

With the usual skating kit put a few extras like a scythe, face paint, fake blood, scrubs, we set out on the London Halloween skate 2008.

The number of skaters who had not made an effort to dress up could be counted on one hand and smiles were many. I even saw a taxi driver smiling!!!!

The scythe: I'm used to skating without anything in my hands and to have, albeit plastic, scythe in my hands...............something felt so wrong and yet so right. Maybe, it's due to all the years moutain biking, who knows. On the night it was good for giving the kids a scare.
